SMG is also a market leader in installation machinery for artificial turf systems and a pioneer in machines for their removal and recycling. For 50 years, we have been developing innovative tools, equipment, and machines for artificial turf installation, from unrolling and cutting tools to infill machines for sand and rubber granulates.
For efficient maintenance of artificial turf surfaces, SMG offers more than 20 cleaning and care machines. Solutions range from hand-guided equipment for small pitches to ride-on machines in various sizes with multiple attachments.
Our machines meet all maintenance requirements of surface manufacturers as well as UEFA and FIFA standards. Many systems also enable deep and basic cleaning. Even for unfilled artificial turf surfaces, we provide tailored solutions. SMG delivers optimal technology for every step of the process.
The MixMatic M140 is a versatile and powerful batch mixer specifically designed for the efficient processing of binding agents and rubber granules. Thanks to its robust construction and flexible application possibilities, it is perfectly suited for small to medium batch sizes.
The compact mixing unit features an adjustable filling height of 1053 mm to 1353 mm, enabling convenient and ergonomic filling. The powerful electric drive, combined with precise mixing motion and a high speed of 50 rpm, ensures homogeneous results in the shortest possible time – usually in less than two minutes.
PlanoMatic P211
Semi-automatic paver for multipurpose sports surfaces, playgrounds, runways and jogging tracks. Working width 1,100 mm (variable), area performance 290m²/h.
P211 is driven by an electrical gear motor, and thanks to the frequency converters, its paving speed is variably adjustable. The steering drawbar is equipped with operating elements for driving and the oscillation of the screed. Lateral pressure on the steering drawbar determines the travel direction of the machine.
The compaction of the material as well as the installation thickness can be changed manually. Therefore, this lightweight machine can easily be operated by one person.
PlanoMatic P928
Fully automatic paver for elastic layers, elastic subbases, athletic tracks and multipurpose sports surfaces.
The PlanoMatic P928 is a fully automatic paver. With continuously variable speeds of 0.8 - 4.5 m/min it provides a theoretical performance of up to 730 m²/h. Individually adjustable width of up to 2,700 mm makes it ideal for athletic running tracks and school sports facilities.
P928 is equipped with an automatic curve control for running tracks and a hydraulic controlled undercarriage. P928 can come with an optional automatic levelling device (sensor/tactile unit) for smooth installation.
TurfMuncher TM2000D
Self-propelled machine for the removal of artificial turf.
Self-propelled TurfMuncher TM2000D winds artificial turf into 2-metre compact rolls and works out the infilling material. It is driven by a 35 kW (46,2 HP) water-cooled diesel engine, and all of its functions are electro-hydraulically controlled. The machine is conveniently controlled from a pivoting control panel. Weight, surface pressure, and steering of the machine are designed for use on sensitive substructures such as, for instance, elastic layers.
The discharge height of the conveyor belt of 2,4 metres allows for easy pick-up of the filling material by shovel loaders, dumpers or BigBags.
TurfCare TCA1402
Ground driven, tow-behind device for the cleaning and care of artificial turf.
The TurfCare TCA1402 is designed for both infilled and non-infilled artificial turf systems. Its wheel-driven operation makes it independent from hydraulic or PTO drives, allowing it to be used with compact tractors or quads.
The working depth of the rotating brush can be easily adjusted and locked using two adjustment spindles with an integrated height indicator and side-mounted spirit levels. The vibrating screen can be adjusted from 4–10 mm depending on contamination level and infill material size. Screening trays can be removed quickly for easy maintenance.
An optional suction system removes dust and dirt during surface cleaning. The integrated filter meets DIN EN 60335-2-69 dust class M and EN 779 F8/F9 standards, capturing fine dust and microplastic particles.
For narrow access areas, transport wheels can be folded out and the drawbar raised. The machine includes a standard three-point hitch that can be quickly converted to drawbar operation without tools. A robust front chassis ensures stable and smooth operation, while the vibration function can be disengaged for sensitive surfaces such as non-infilled turf. Practical storage compartments and service hatches allow easy maintenance and quick access to components.
TurfSoft TS1 DC
Machine for the cleaning and care of artificial turf.
The TurfSoft TS1 DC has been specifically designed for the regular top-layer cleaning and maintenance of padel courts with typical turf fibre lengths of 10-15 mm. Its powerful main brush effectively removes suspended particles, abrasion, and dirt, while two side brooms thoroughly clean the edges. A vibrating sieve collects dirt and worn fibers, filters the sand, and returns it to the playing surface. The integrated dust filter meets DIN EN60335-2-69 / Dust Class "M" and EN779 "F8"/"F9" standards, capturing even the finest dust and microplastic particles.
With a cordless battery-powered operation, the TurfSoft TS1 is highly flexible and easy to handle. Additionally, the modified vibrating sieve can be closed, allowing the machine to be used not only on the court but also for cleaning the surrounding areas. At the same time, the machine is ideally suited for cleaning all types of Pickleball court surfaces.
The machine geometry and brush system are optimized for shorter artificial turf, which is why use on turf types with longer fibres is not recommended. With the TurfSoft TS1, regular court maintenance can be carried out reliably – ensuring consistently high playing quality and preserving the long-term value of the court.
